2nd Conference cycle (2012)

The 2nd conference cycle was an action of the doctoral programme Heritage of Portuguese Influence started at Biblioteca Joanina, with the inauguration of the exhibition Africans in Portugal: History and Memory (XV-XXI centuries), alongside a guided tour and conference by the curator of the exhibition, Isabel Castro Henriques.
Over the month of February there were conferences and debates featuring Hélder Macedo and Ana Paula Tavares, moderated by José Cardoso Bernardes; Diogo Ramada Curto and Abdool Karim Vakil, moderated by Fernando Catroga; and João Paulo Oliveira e Costa and Fernanda Bicalho, moderated by Ana Cristina Araújo, who will approach different themes, under a common motto.
This was a joint action shared by the doctoral programmes Heritage of Portuguese Influence, Post-Colonialisms and Global Citizenship e as University of Coimbra Libraries.
